Forensic Services Asia/Forensic Services Malaysia has announced a new operations team headed by General Manager, Ms Aini Ling.
Ms Ling assumed the role on 21 June, 2018. She has been with Forensic Services for 26 years, and has led the fire and explosion investigation team for the past 15 years.
Aini (pictured above) is a chemical engineer who has led and conducted more than a thousand investigations into process incidents.
The newly appointed General Manager’s core value is the delivery of quality and effective service in forensic investigation and failure analysis.
Forensic Services has also announced the appointment of Mr Yu Ong Sing and Mr Anand Ghnavello as Operations Manager (Fire & Explosion) and Operations Manager (Engineering) respectively.
Both Anand and Ong Sing have been with Forensic Services for 17 years.
Anand’s (pictured above) main focus is engineering failure analysis and vehicle fires.
Ong Sing (pictured above) has been on forensic investigations into large fire losses and arson investigation.
The Operation Management appointments came into effect on 21 June, 2018.
The current operations team at Forensic Services include electrical-electronic engineers, mechanical engineers, chemical and metallurgical engineers, a forensic chemist and a physicist.
Assisting the team are four technicians, including a metallurgical and chemical laboratory assistant. Bringing to the team specialised areas of expertise are four associates in electrical, marine, NDT and turbine.
Ms Reetha Ramalingam is FSM’s finance and accounting manager.
Following the demise of the founder of Forensic Services, Barry Dillon, Ms Ling said it is the desire of the operations team to continue the legacy of a leader who was a tremendous mentor and employer, a true scientist and an engineer.
“Barry pursued excellence in all he did, and he has left behind a synergistic team that shares his passion for science and engineering,” Ms Ling said.
“FSM will continue Barry’s legacy of pursuing excellence in the work we do across Asia,” she said.
